News from the Primary Coordinator

Dear Parents/Guardians,

We have come to the end of Term 1 already where the Year Prep- Foundation students have now settled and started their specialist lessons. All new students have familiarized themselves with the school routines and expectations and have met and made many new friends.

We recently had the Year 5 students run for Vice Captaincy and I was able to watch some of the students make their speeches. I was very proud to see them speak so confidently in front of an audience. They all did such a great job. Congratulations to all students who participated and had a go!

Our winning Vice Captains are as follows:

Red house: Ceylin Karslioglu
Yellow house: Hashim Fallah
Blue house: Rayan Alseify
Green: Berfe Demir

Well done and congratulations!

This term, the students gained many new skills from gymnastics which they have been taking part in since the beginning of the term and we are now looking forward to athletics for next term. The students will work on their athletics skills in preparation for our Athletics Carnival which will also take place at school next term.

We had some fantastic activities and programs including incursions, excursions specifically relating to Health as this is what was covered in Integrated Studies this term.

We also had many fundraisers for the Good Friday Royal Children’s Hospital Appeal. The Twilight Movie turned out to be an eventful and enjoyable night for all. Thank you to all of the families who got involved. The night was a huge success!

The Year 12 and Year 6 Captains will have the privilege to be able to present what we have raised on Channel 7 on Friday the 14th of April. Stay tuned to Channel 7 to see our school captains announce how much we have raised and how we did it.

I hope that everyone has a safe and enjoyable break!
